2002 graduate meets with Berea Colleges vice president
to discuss her award of a scholarship in the amount of approximately
$80,000. With Kindle Pomeroy and Vice President Lynn Murphree
are Dr. Michael Martin, Director of Schools; Sarah Pierce,

In our first graduating class, Phoebe Wade shows her delight
in learning computer skills and returning to school. |
A
small group of WWII veterans who received honorary diplomas
as part of the Graduation Ceremony in 2001. A total of 86 diplomas
have been issued to veterans with 10 being awarded posthumously
to family members. |

Wendy
Bowman who graduated in our third class visits with childhood
friend, former First Lady Tipper Gore, at a conference at TTU.
Wendy will finish her degree at TTU in the near future and
plans to enroll in graduate school. |

recipient of the Burks Award, Donna Henry works on British
literature with teacher Beverly Perry. Students work on an
individualized basis and at their own pace with the support
of highly qualified and dedicated faculty. |

In
a formal adoption ceremony presided over by Judge John Maddux,
the Herald-Citizen became the community adopter of
Putnam County Adult High School. Representatives of the Chamber
of Commerce, students and school officials join Bill Shuster
as the adoption becomes finalized. |
